Upstate New York’s in the grip of Solar Eclipse Fever! According to the Albany Times-Union, “The April 8 eclipse is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of viewers to the region, seeking to experience a rare total solar eclipse. During the peak of the eclipse, when the moon travels between the Earth and the sun, parts of the state will be plunged into darkness for more than three minutes”. If you’ve spent time in that part of the world, you know why three minutes of darkness is such a big freakin’ deal.
