The British revel in their eccentricities - no more so than in their food choices. Eel pie, bubble and squeak and blood pudding are just some of the mouth-watering fare in Olde Blighty. My favourite is the iconic Scotch Egg. It consists of a hard boiled egg coated with tree stump paste and bee leavings in a tepid poultice of wood chips, lint, gravel and spackle. But what happens next is the secret of successful Scotch Eggs.
