The Words of God
Like the King James Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, created in 1549, is an important component of the English language. It was created because forms of worship differed from parish to parish in England during the late Medieval era and it underwent changes to appease Roman Catholics and others, but it’s fundamental to the Anglican Communion. From it we get till death do us part and ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The solemnity is evident.
