In 1989, I hired Judy Tenuda and Richard Belzer, then both young comedians, for a gig at The Palace, a venue in Hollywood. It was a battle of the [largely unknown] bands sponsored by Seagrams Coolers. Both these people were hot tickets at the time and I knew we’d need their star power to fill the house. In the event, the house was Standing Room Only and the mood in the place was electric.
