The world’s deepest underground hotel is now open in Wales where you can spend the night in the largest abandoned slate mine on Earth. As you pull those cool bedcovers up under your chin, you’ll be surrounded by tons and tons of rock, minerals and darkness 1,375 vertical feel below the Snowdonia mountains. Inviting, right? The Deep Sleep Hotel is comprised of four cabins with double beds (£350) and “a romantic grotto with a double bed” (£550). Getting there’s just part of the fun!
