On Wednesday, September 13th, 2001, a GE limo took me from London to Luton Airport where a Dassault three-engine corporate jet await to get seven of us back to North America. There’s a computer program on such planes that shows where the aircraft is in the world, its speed, external temperature, the lot. This one included an indicator so you could point toward Mecca for prayers, the jet having been owned by a Saudi prince before we repoed it. Two days after the attacks, this was of special note.
