The Sorters are a rock band featuring original music, a cellist and, on drums, my wife’s nephew, James Dufort. Last night, they played the Ransom Steel Tavern in Apalachin, New York, and Leesa and I were in the audience. Full of splendid musicianship, creativity and enough energy to power a small city for a year, I recommend The Sorters highly. It’s been decades since I’ve been in a bar after midnight that I know of. I survived the experience, but I doubted my ability to stay awake. This I accomplished by judicious intake of food and drink and extensive pregame napping. My history of with live music, however, is a tortured one.
