Foodies looking for an impossibly posh meal could soon enjoy Michelin-starred cuisine at the edge of space if French company Zephalto has its way. A pressurised capsule, which the company calls Celeste, will be lofted some 15 miles off the ground by a giant helium balloon enabling diners (and astonished flat-earthers) to marvel at the curvature of the Earth. The company’s owner, a former air traffic controller, says the floating eatery is already booked through mid-2025, so you best get a wiggle on. The feed will run you €120,000, not including drinks and tip. Leesa and I aren’t of an economic strata to sign on, but we do have gastronomic moments from time-to-time.
