As a visitor, a volunteer and a docent, I’ve learned a lot about museums in the last 15 years. I know their touch points, I know how the blood flows, I can tell where they falter and where they’re strong. Museums have an inner life beyond the topic and the exhibits and the 16-minute movies and, if you’re around such places enough, you can read the tea leaves. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s theme obviously lends itself to high octane presentations – and it doesn’t disappoint, but what’s evident at the RRHOF is something extraordinary.
