In 2017, the city of Everett, Washington, declared that waitstaff in quick service establishments had to wear clothing that covered their tops and bottoms while working. But now good has triumphed over evil because a US District Court in Seattle says the law is discriminatory to females and, thus, unconstitutional. "I think this protects our safety from law enforcement touching our body. Who's approving my outfit? Is it my female boss or some random dude cop that I don't know? I don't want them having to stick a ruler next to my body,” barista Emma Dilemma, a server at Hillbilly Hotties coffee shop, 15315 Hwy 99, in Lynnwood.
