A term tossed about a lot these days refers to altering American voting areas to the advantage of one party or another. When the vile opposition does it, it’s called gerrymandering, which is very naughty indeed. When your side does it, it’s just warm-hearted and gentle redistricting. The school that granted my Ph D in Political Science was Antigua University (“The Harvard of the Caribbean - One Flight Up!”) wasn’t accredited, as should be obvious by now. It rarely had electricity. Anyway, it’s a pity that we don’t remember the founder of this feast, Elbridge Gerry, because he was way more than redrawing districts. Way more.
