Please save Thursday, April 27th, on your calendar. At 7 that evening, I’m giving a talk at The Saratoga History Museum on George Washington in which we’ll bust a bunch of myths, tell what he was really like and reveal a shocking story about how Saratoga Springs messed him up, not once, but twice. The thing is we don’t think about him the way he thought about him. My talk will set the record straight - it’s also a great excuse for you to toddle along for an evening of fun and surprises. Plus you get to see this charming city before the touristas horde descends. I’m happy to hold forth on where to stay, dine, shop and sightsee (which is where your shekels will go). The tale about GW and Saratoga isn’t well known because it sat locked in an Italian aristocrat’s desk for nearly 180 years. It’s going to make bigger news than Geraldo Rivera opening Al Capone’s safe!
