Unless Leesa and I are traveling or off to the theatre, my Saturdays follow a pattern of longstanding. After breakfast, I repair to the library to engage in careful reflection which results in the first of two naps of the day. Upon awakening, I read for an hour - currently a second go at A Scott Berg’s masterful biography of Woodrow Wilson. Next is a trip to the Salle de Bain to expel methane, shower and primp and then I toddle to the bedroom to dress. Back in library, correspondence is answered and staff is upbraided, which is always refreshing. Said activities bring us to luncheon consisting of Pol Roger, oysters and game hunted on the estate. These exertions completed, I am ready for the day’s main event.
