Bid hello to Lady Barbara Sidney (née Gamage), Countess of Leicester, with six of her children, shown in a work painted by Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger in 1596. The Countess rests her hands on her aristocratic sons Robert and William and, since the boys were about one and six-years-old respectively in this painting, they had not yet been breeched.
