Meet Toru Ueda, a Tokyo engineer who likes to dress like a wolf. “When I wear my costume I feel I’m no longer human,” the 32-year-old told The Times of London. “I’m free of human relationships. All kinds of troubles, related to work and other things — I can forget about them.” Mr Ueda spent ¥3 million - or US$23,000.00 - for his costume. Although cosplay is incredibly popular in Japan, Mr Ueda said none of his friends dress up and he generally doesn’t wear his furry frock to gatherings with other cosplayers. He also described what he sees when he looks in the mirror.
