This was WE Walsh and Sons, a posh men’s shop across from the New York State Capital. It was the domain of the high and mighty in the Albany political world, including but not limited to FDR. I bought a white shirt there when I worked in the NYS Bill Drafting Commission as a young man circa 1977. What happened that day stays in my mind as if it were yesterday, the images pristine.
